ASEP Tests
The new homologation standards regarding sound levels, both for vehicles and exhaust systems, require manufacturers to conduct a series of preventive tests called ASEP (Additional Sound Emission Provision). DHM is ready to support its customers in meeting this new regulatory requirement.
Pre-homologation Tests
Preventive tests aim to verify the actual performance of the product (vehicle or component) in relation to the reference homologation standard before embarking on the homologation process. This results in a reliable and fast result, optimizing time and costs.
Durability Tests
Durability tests are mandatory for the homologation of various vehicles and devices, and they are often required to meet quality standards demanded by customers, we can conduct them independently.
Conformity Tests
Production conformity is fundamental and the responsibility of the manufacturer of homologated products. We support you in conducting periodic tests to verify conformity, in addition to post-production checks, if necessary, to check what is delivered to the distribution network or during a recall campaign.
ONE-OFF
To accumulate know-how and experience, DHM has internally developed a motorcycle, starting from a Euro2 base and reaching compliance with Euro4 pollution limits.
The ECU mapping was carried out exclusively by DHM’s in-house personnel using our data acquisition tools. The exhaust system was also entirely designed and developed by us. Extensive work was done on suspensions and the braking system.
This vehicle has undergone all homologation tests like any mass-produced motorcycle and was approved as a one-off by the Italian Ministry of Transport.
To certify the reliability of the electronic and mechanical development a kilometric accumulation journey of 9300 km in 12 days, through different climate zones, was undertaken in 2015 and the vehicle has accumulated approximately 100,000 km so far without problems.
